I am a PhD student in Computer Science at UT Austin working with Prof. Kristen Grauman. My interest lies at the intersection of computer vision, machine learning and robotics. In my PhD, I work on learning visual representations for robotic manipulation from human data. Through the study of artificial intelligence, I hope to form a better understanding of the very nature of human intelligence and existence.
From 2021–23, I was a visiting researcher at Facebook AI Research. Before grad school, I worked for two years with Prof. Venkatesh Babu at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), and also spent a summer with Prof. Michael Black at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Tübingen, Germany. I graduated from BITS Pilani, India, in 2017 with a double major in Computer Science and Physics, during which I interned at INRIA Saclay, France (for my thesis) and at Wikimedia Foundation as part of Google Summer of Code.
Outside research, I am a voracious reader with a deep interest in Indian philosophy. I also enjoy playing basketball and going for runs.
